The hotel was very nice, once inside! It was quaint and lovely in every detail! Our room was spacious, including the bathroom, with very modern design and décor. Mr. Wu and the female who was around when he was not were very nice. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. My cell phone accidentally fell behind the bed, which was glued to the wall, and Mr. Wu retrieved it out when we were sightseeing and left it on my bed. Very trustworthy! Excellent location, very central and right next to the Jing'an Temple metro.
The entrance is a little sketchy, but worth it once you get inside. Once you are comfortable walking in and out of the property, it is actually quite comforting knowing there are 3 locked doors before your hotel door after 10:30 P.M. Another thing that I had problems with was lack of counter space. There was no space to put my toiletries or my makeup. I solved this problem by using the tray that the coffee supplies were displayed on. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent and I would certainly stay there again!

Located just a block from the Jing'An temple Metro Line 2 stop, Denotel is right in the heart of the Jing'An area and very accessible. The hotel rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the free wifi and available movies for viewing were a great feature. Very nice and helpful staff!
The only thing is that it's not clear where it is! If there could be a sign of some sort to tell you that you are in the right place, and that you are supposed to go upstairs to the 3rd floor, it would be much clearer and feel safer! As a solo female traveller, I felt a little uncomfortable going into a unmarked building alone. A sign would be helpful.

2 min walking from underground line 2 station, friendly staff
One day we returned to the hotel early and it was impossible to enter the room because there were workmen changing the bathroom door (this need also little works on the wall): no problem, but it would be better to be advised before!
